Jaimie Doing Her Homework
This is what I believe in-- learn to recognise and write basic Chinese words at the age of 4. No need to pump a kid with bombastic words which one will hardly use more than 5 times in his lifetime, or load him with difficult words at a young age. There is no need to speed up the learning process.
This is what I believe.

好乖哦~
Do the writing characters/ strokes have to be that big? I find that Vince tend to get more tired easily. So I photocopy them 2 pages per sheet - can save paper too... *heheh*
sheila, that is the homework from jaimie's childcare ctr.:)
Of course there's no hurry, but there's no harm either, right? Nay, not the writing bit. Younger ones won't have the motor skills to write, but the reading. Young ones are so much easier to teach and they learn in a blink of the eye! And they find it so fun and like a game.
Faith's teacher told me to go Popular to find such writing exercise books for her. If you know of any good ones let me know ok? Jae can trace very well! She must hv been v patient and focused when doing it.
Diana,
Jaimie can trace quite well but she is nt what you imagined when she was doing her tracing! She will talk to me after EVERY STROKE and I had to scold her to get her back on track...:(
I'll let you know if i find any good ones.
What a coincidence, RR is also learning who to write 头.
I told her it is a 人 with open arms 大 and two strands of hair on top.
wolfie,
i learnt from jaimie that the last stroke is a “点”,not a “捺". so it might not be so accurate to say it is a ”大". i checked with my MIL, who is a pri sch teacher, she said jaimie is right. =.=
