West Coast Park (Again)

Clement bought a $2 boomerang from Daiso. I had my reservations about this $2 toy but we still went ahead to WCP to try it out. We brought along a frisbee and a kite in case the boomerang did not work.

WCP happened to have a Children's Day Carnival on the day we went. However, they were closing at 5pm and our watches told us it was already 4.30pm. To play the rides and the games, one must purchase a $36 coupon booklet. We were not about to spend that kind of money especially when we only have half an hour to play. Hence, instead of throwing the boomerang, Jaimie threw something else -- tantrum. Usually a balloon would be able to cheer her up but it did not work that day.

While Jaimie was throwing her tantrum and sulking on the picnic mat, Clement and I played frisbee. It was quite fun! Maybe we should do a frisbee game during our next outdoor gathering with our friends.

The little missy decided that she had sulked enough and asked to play in the playground.

When it was 5.30pm, the emcee of the Children's Day Carnival invited everyone to proceed to the ice cream stall to get free ice cream because they were trying to clear away the food. This ice cream was cooling and thirst quenching and it cheered up little miss sulky even more. She took her time to eat her ice cream and it was melting and dripping all over the place. Clement helped her to eat up the ice cream and that made her upset again.

Finally we got a chance to throw the boomerang. Indeed, it flew in a little arc and did not come back to us. Luckily we didn't hit any of the kite flyers in the open area. Kekeke.

Clement was asking for trouble trying to help a little girl (and a sulking one) to finish her ice-cream. What was daddy thinking?? ^_^

shana,

daddy was in a tight spot. he either had to help finish the sulking girl's ice cream and hear her scream, or the mommy who gt frustrated with the cleaning of the ice cream mess and started screaming as well. either way, it was a lose-lose situation for him.
