Virtual Watchfield-Highworth

Created this blog so that we can propagate the commaraderie spirit we shared during our stay in Watchfield and Highworth. This space is for us to post updates, photos and basically keep in touch.

Hey Clarence. Wow it's not often that a 9-year-old blog post gets a comment. Let me guess, you goggled your name and this blog popped up. :)

On returning to Folly Crescent, in fact we did, last year. The whole bunch (well, not the whole bunch but 3 families) decided to revisit UK 9 years upon our graduation from the RMCS. Was supposed to be a 10 year date but we thought it better to avoid the Olympic year. Some pics here: http://kinigu.blogspot.sg/2011/06/2011-uk-trip-before-and-after-9-years.html

Yup the brick house's still there. But the whole neighbourhood has been vacated. No more Mister Peacock in the office round the corner.

Hwahhh ... you all really went back ... very good.

Yah, I googled my name and 20 folly crescent and found your blog.

I did have a look of the neighbourhood using google maps ... glad to see the houses are still existing.

Siang dang nian, before I left, there was talk of them being demolished within the next year or 2.

Oh well, there you go, the angmohs can tok and tok ... still no action.

I remember Mr Peacock... he was a nice person ... with a Scottish or Irish accent. He lent me a bottle of mold killer on the first day we arrived... :-)

How have you been keeping?

Oh yah ... just realised that even after 9 years, the curtains on the windows haven't been changed ! Still the same pattern!
