与朋友庆中秋（1-9-2012）

在Marina Barrage的上空，飘荡着漂亮的风筝。 这天凉风习习，天气也不算热。是个适合野餐、放纸鸢的好天气。恰巧，我们今天就是约了亲爱的朋友们来聚会、野餐、庆中秋。

媛媛极兴奋地等待她的朋友们的到来。

到了傍晚5点钟，朋友们陆陆续续地到了。我们把草席都铺好，孩子们开始第一个活动--制作手工灯笼。负责人当然就是才华横溢的幼儿美术老师-- Joyce. 孩子们在Joyce 的指导下，完成了一个让他们自豪的灯笼，而我们就坐在一旁聊天、吹风。

为孩子制造快乐的童年回忆是我们这群朋友共同的目的，也是我们深厚的友情的基石。因此，在这样的聚会，除了让小朋友们自由自在地玩乐，我们也带一点小玩意儿，让孩子们更加开心。吹泡泡、玩荧光棒、大人小孩一起跳绳、一起野餐...小朋友没头没脑地互相追逐，也是他们的童年乐趣。不需要花很多钱，不需要新奇的活动，不需要任何的高科技，我们从简单与纯朴中找回单纯的快乐。

这一个中秋活动，大人与小孩都满载而归。

Children's Birthday Parties in July and August

Jaimie attended 3 birthday parties in 2 months. In July, it's her best and favourite jie-jie Seraphine's 8 yrs' old party. Yeow Seng and Shelley invited us to Pasta Mania in Nex for a pizza making session for the kids. What did the adults do when the kids were busy in the kitchen? We catch up with one another! It's really good to be with old friends while the kids enjoyed themselves!

We had another awesome party with another group of awesome friends. It's Cherrlyn's 6 yrs old party! The kids met in Scoop of Art in Marine Parade CC. They chose an art piece to do individually and what did the adults do?

We chit chat, catch up and crack jokes while munching on the finger food. NICE~

The kids had a marvellous time that evening.

It's Hari Raya and Jaimie was invited to her classmate Kai Qian's birthday bash at Amazing Kids at SAFRA Jurong. Kai Qian was one of her best friends, besides Teryl, Wei Ying and Samantha. I wonder if the girls would remember this beautiful friendship they shared after they leave their childcare at the end of this year.

Pinata was always a hit with the kids. They practically went wild when the sweets fell onto the floor.

As I am writing this post, it suddenly occured to me that birthday celebration is a celebration of friendship too! Jaimie hasn't had a birthday celebration with her friends before. Maybe I should do one for her next year or so. :)

Mothers' Day Celebration and Kids Fun Time

We gather at Vivocity to celebrate... Mothers' Day. We always have a reason to meet. And we can always cook up a reason to meet, not that we need one, actually. It is just more fun to have one. It's school holiday today as Saturday was Vesak Day. We brought the children out to play at the Vivocity.

The mommies did a gift exchange. It's happy shopping/ eating time with the vouchers!

The kids played from 10am - 12noon. We only planned to play this much but after lunch at Kim Gary's, the kids found the way to the outdoor playground and they continued to play for another 2.5hrs!!

It's so nice to see the children bonding and playing together. We had to follow them around and chase  after them when they were younger but now they have grown to be independent, confident and sociable children! I remembered a few years ago we were at the Great World City playground (cant remember the name...) and wondering when would it be our turn to sit down and chit chat while the kids play on their own. Now, it's finally here!

Joining the 2nd Birthday Celebration of Citysquare Mall

CitySquare Mall is one of my favourite malls. I really like the spacious corridors, natural light and the restaurant outlets there. We received newsletter from CitySq Mall to inform us of a series of activities to celebrate its 2nd birthday. There was a finger puppet making session which interest Jaimie and myself and so we made our way there last weekend.

We learned that there was a tea party for children with Garfield and Odie taking place after the puppet making session. The condition: minimum spending of $30 in the mall. Oh, how difficult was that?! *hahaha~~* The children got to meet and greet the 2 cartoon characters, share the birthday cake, got an instant photograph with Garfield and Odie, and brought home a party goodie bag.

Jaimie seemed to like the chocolate cake very much. She was totally engrossed in her cake and couldn't be bothered with the quiz to win more party goodie bag nor was she eager for her turn to meet Garfield and Odie. "Eat my cake first, everything else later." Hmmm!

We were really glad to spend a happy afternoon in my favourite mall.

诺亚方舟--五月天2012演唱会

每次离开五月天的常常会演唱会时，都会有亢奋后强烈的失落感。

今天的演唱会，不是热血的LOVE，不是质疑爱是什么，不是现实与梦想的冲突。今天是诺亚方舟。它载着沉重与希望，载着过去与未来，载着每个人的人生。它有平静航行让你思考的时候；它有在风雨中颠簸让你紧握所爱的人和爱你的人的手的时候；它有雨后天晴稳健前进让你看到彼岸的时候。

已经很久了，没有在听《我心尚未崩坏的地方》这首歌的时候有很大的情绪波动。今天在大声合唱的时候，我热泪盈眶。不是因为想起那段不堪回首的前尘往事，而是感激这首歌给当时的我支撑着仅存的骄傲、放大仅存的力量，坚守心中不肯妥协的那一小块土地，我才获得第二人生。

我一直觉得五月天是我的守护天使。我春风得意的时候他们陪我唱歌；我迷惑怀疑的时候他们告诉我做人的原则；我粉身碎骨的时候他们一片一片地把我重新拼凑；我重获新生的时候，他们提醒我珍惜。

走出室内体育场时，没有亢奋、没有失落、没有遗憾。走出室内体育场时，我有满载而归的感觉。即将面临不惑之年的我，更加清楚自己的目标与方向，安心、稳健地向前方驶去。
