Chongqing Hotpot (Where's my tongue?)

I have been craving for Chong Qing Hotpot for quite some time. Finally, today we went to the one in Suntec to satisfy ourselves. We ordered 2 types of soup-- Ma La Tang (the spicy one which makes your tongue numb!!) and chicken soup.

The service was excellent. We were warmly welcomed by the staff and given tips on how and what to eat. Here are the lessons learnt on how to neutralise the spicy taste.

Tip number 1: You need to mix these 4 sauces together and dip your food into it.

Tip number 2: Drink this free flow of 8 Treasure Tea to balance the yin and yang. (this drink is SOOOOOOO GOODDDD!!!!!)

Tip number 3: Eat some savory and sweet snacks when eating the hotpot.

End the meal with chocolate or raspberry ice cream. Jaimie loved the soup and the ice cream.

We had a very pleasant dining experience in ChongQing Hotpot. The food is excellent and so is the service. Really nice.

After trying the Chongqing Hotpot (not the Suntec branch) more than 10years ago, I had never thought of going again. It was way beyond what my gastric could take.
Good for you girl! *smile*
