Happy Lunch With Good Friends

I have a group of friends who are very special and important to me. We met when our husbands were doing their masters in the same university in England. We were very closely knitted and had a lot of fun together-- from driving around the country to movie sessions held in our house to having bbqs in summer to late-night baking sessions for the wives to having drinking games to CNY celebrations to receiving babies born in UK... you name it, we have done it together.

Most of us stayed very close to after we came back although we do not meet as often now. Large group gatherings are lesser when there are more children. It is just harder to find a common time for all so we broke into smaller groups. Most of the time, it was the guys who will meet for drinking sessions or karaoke sessions. The wives will stay at home (SIGH!!) to look after the kids. When we have big group gatherings, we will all be busy looking after our children and we couldn't catch up with one another properly.

Hence, it is important that the wives do come out together once in a while!!! And we did it today!! It is such a rare occasion that I have to blog about it! Haha~

Shelley and I do get to meet more often because we live near each other. Those of you who follow this blog will know that I always mention "YS and family". Shelley is the wife of YS and mother of Jaimie's favourite jie-jie, Seraphine.

Pamela is a mother of three! Her first born was the second baby we receive in England. Even when she was heavily pregnant, she travelled around with us and climbed mountains with us in UK.

Pamela and Shelley were neighbours in UK. I lived somewhere further but nearer to University.

Best friends!!
And we can't wait to go to UK and France together in 2011~!!

So good to have set a goal to travel to UK again in 2011, this time with your kids I suppose..

Ahem, must save more $$ so that you can come back from England and blog about "A Confession of a Shopaholic!" ^_^

You reminded me of a pact my 'gang' made when we were studying for our 'O' levels....
but instead of 6 going, only 2 went...
and I'm NOT one of the 2...
