Beauty Queen In The Making

Mommy told me that Izzy mei-mei goes for professional manicure and Rain mei-mei's mommy paints her nails for her too. I was so thrilled when mommy agreed to get me some nail polish from Sasa!

Since it's 3 for the price of 2, mommy allowed me to pick 3 bottles of nail polish. I zoomed in to the one with lots of glitter. Mommy asked me to choose those of more subtle colours so that my teachers will not notice that I had broken the school rule. Wait a minute, I should check with my teachers if there is any school rules in childcare centre stating that students are not allowed to come to school with painted nails. Mommy was in her shopping mood (hooray!!) and she allowed me to choose a lip gloss too! What a lucky day for me!

We went to Zhou Kitchen again for dinner. I whined and whined and asked mommy to put on my lip gloss for me but mommy said that we were going to have dinner soon. To pacify me, mommy painted my nails while we waited for daddy to join us in the restaurant. Look! I have beautiful, glittering nails!

I hate to ruin my nail polish so I was extra careful when handling my utensils. I was not convinced even when mommy told me that the nails polish has dried. I was also not convinced that normal washing of hands will not wash away my nail polish so I insisted that I did not want to wash my hands after I went to the toilet.

I really love my cosmetics. I was hoping that mommy will hold a gathering with my friends so that we can have a make up session together. We can exchange our nail polish so that we can have 10 different colours on our fingers. We can also discuss about the different brands of lip gloss.

Oh, I so love being a girl!

Birthday Celebration in School

Today is Jaimie's 4th birthday. Clement bought her a cake from ecreative and she had a simple and happy celebration with her classmates! We brought our DSLR but only realised we didn't slot in the SD card when we reached her school! Hahaha!! It happened to me once too, happily taking photos and then realised I am snapping nothing.

Anyway, thankfully I still have my Nokia phone with a reasonable camera!

Jaimie with her favourite teacher, Zhang Laoshi, who ties Jaimie's hair so beautifully each time. When we looked at the photos, we realised that Jaimie was smiling so happily. It wasn't a smile put up for taking pictures. You can see she was genuinely happy. That, is priceless to us.

Dear Jaimie,

You have brought so much love, laughter and sunshine into our lives ever since you come into our lives. 4 years have passed. You have grown into a sweet little girl who knows how to care, share and love. I still remember when I first set my eyes on you, I fell in love with you the moment I saw you. You were then a tiny, curious baby, anxiously drinking milk from the bottle. Now you still enjoy your milk from the bottle (perhaps you should throw it away like Ezra gor-gor did!) and you can sing, dance, tell stories, count and even recognise some Chinese words! Every night when we look at you when you were sleeping soundly, it never fails to amaze us how much you have grown! From a 47cm little thing to almost 1m in height now!

All we wish for you, our little princess, is happiness an good health always. Mommy has said that before and I will always say the same thing. To us, your happiness is always our top priority.

We love you more and more.

Jaimie's Day

Since Jaimie's birthday falls on Tuesday and we do not want her to miss school, we celebrated with her today, just the 3 of us.

It wasn't much of a celebration actually. We just let her choose whatever she wanted to go and whatever she wanted to eat. She requested to go to the playground in Lot One and Sakae Sushi. So we went to Lot One.



I think this is going to be the last time we'll dine at Sakae Sushi. The standard of the food is really BAD today. We were ok with the food served in Sakae Sushi although it is average. However, it's really BAD today. Clement, who usually had no comments on food, said he couldn't swallow his lunch and was going to puke. I agreed.

The arcade is one of Jaimie's favourite hangout. She could spend an hour running around the arcade, watching people play games and sitting on the game machines watching the thriller. I was quite surprised to see her taking off her shoes and hopped on to the DDR machine, moving her little feet stepping on the arrows like a real gamer!

I think Clement miss playing his bass. Hahaha~~

Mario Kart was quite interesting too.

After 2 consecutive days of play, Jaimie couldn't hold it anymore. She requested to go home in the afternoon to rest. We dug her up after 45mins of nap and she was totally angry and cranky. Luckily, she responded to our bribe to buy her her favourite cheese coated doughnut from Doughnut Factory and we went to Novena Square for dinner.

The dinner at Zhou Kitchen was SO MUCH BETTER than Sakae Sushi.

With the good and happy dinner, we marked the end of a happening long weekend and part 3 of Jaimie's birthday celebration. Part 4 will be held in her childcare centre on Tuesday!

Family Celebration for Jaimie's 4th BDay

Other than Jaimie's first birthday, we do not hold birthday parties for her. We only have a small family celebration and this year is no different. We went to Tung Lok Seafood at Upper Jurong Road for an ala carte buffet lunch.

After lunch, we crossed over to Singapore Discovery Centre. Jaimie and I had never been there. If you have a POSB Everyday card, one child enters free with 2 paying adults.

It was quite fun, surprisingly. We went for a 3D movie and a bus tour to SAFTI.

The place is very interactive but some of the interactive games are too difficult to play. The robot was responding to Jaimie's request to sing. It sang "My Bonnie" when Jaimie asked it to. So funny!

Singapore Discovery Centre was all about National Education.

There's another exhibition going on in the side hall. It's called "World Piece". I had not much idea what's it about because I wasn't paying much attention to the exhibits. But we took a photo to participate in a competition (which I do not know what compeition it was) and Jaimie got to doodle on the doodling board with chalk. This is the first time she draws with chalk and she's definitely expressing her creativity to the max!

We had a good afternoon having good family time.

A GOOD Friday--Birthday Celebrations in the East

The "Teacher Mommies" always meet during the quarterly vacation but we didn't manage to do so in March because 2 of us went for vacation overseas. We need to make up for that meeting we had missed so we planned to meet quite last minute today at East Coast Park for sandcastle building and cycling.

Jaimie was absolutely thrilled to meet her friends! The sun at 9.15am was nice and friendly. When we saw the children going into the sea water, we all recalled the gathering we had in Palawan Beach Sentosa when the children were only barely over 1 year old! Now they are celebrating their 4th birthday!

She's not the only one. See, all the children left the construction site. It became a competition among the daddies. They played the game very seriously!

We packed up at 10.20am. The children went for some cycling before we proceed to Carl's Junior for brunch.

Since the kids' birthdays are round the corner, we had a little celebration for them. Wolfgirl bought some muffins and cheesecakes from Starbucks for them.

They sang "Happy Birthday" in their loudest possible volume and blew the candles.

We lit the candles again and asked them to "make a wish".

This is definitely not a very glamours or flattering picture but it was a very beautiful moment. I saw little Rain sharing her cake with her mommy. That was such a nice gesture and I happened to capture it on my camera. I had to post it up.

We left ECP at about 12.15pm and proceeded to Explorer Kids @Downtown East to celebrate Xalicia's birthday. I guess Jaimie was quite tired from the morning's activity and she became quite weepy and timid at the indoor playground. However, she was much better towards the end of the party and became her cheerful self.

This is a GOOD FRIDAY. We spent GOOD family time together with GOOD friends having GOOD fun. It cannot be better.
